Prayas is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Pune, India. Members of Prayas are professionals working to protect and promote the public interest in general, and interests of the disadvantaged sections of the society, in particular. Prayas consists of four groups working on different sectors and issues: health, energy, resources & livelihoods, and learning & parenthood. Prayas is also recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
